Nick’s A Mingled Yarn tour continued across the pond, beginning at the Seven Sisters cliffs before winding along the Cochlear River to the picturesque village of Ullhurst, nestled in the South Downs. There, Nick hosted a vibrant book launch at the award-winning independent bookstore, Much Ado About Books, where a passionate group of writers, artists, actors, and local readers gathered to celebrate the memoir. After the scenic countryside, Nick arrived in the heart of London, where he was astonished to find his next launch event at the legendary Garrick Club. Located in London’s famous West End Theatre District, the Garrick Club—named after the pioneering 18th-century actor David Garrick—has long been a prestigious gathering place for artists, actors, and literary figures. The storied venue, with its rich history of fostering artistic talent and intellectual exchange, was the perfect setting for Nick to share A Mingled Yarn with an enthusiastic London crowd. The Garrick Club, founded in 1831, still resonates with the spirit of its namesake, David Garrick, whose revolutionary acting style brought ease, simplicity, and genuine humour to the stage—an ethos that mirrored the authenticity and insight found within Nick’s memoir.
From the stunning South Downs to the iconic streets of London, A Mingled Yarn has captured hearts and imaginations. With these memorable England stops now complete, Nick’s literary journey continues, and there’s much more on the horizon! Stay tuned for further updates as the A Mingled Yarn adventure carries on!
